What She Built
We’ve worked in the construction industry for the past decade and have met incredible people that build the world around us. We were motivated by the birth of our daughter to write our book What She Built, bringing the stories of women in construction to life. We aim to showcase the real experiences of women making significant contributions to the built world, inspiring young children to see themselves in these women. Our goal is to encourage the next generation of children to consider exciting opportunities in construction. We believe in their ability to shape the world.

Inspire the Young
Seeing is believing. When we see faces that look like ours, we believe in the possibility of what we can achieve. What She Built shows all kids, especially girls, that no matter what you look like you belong and can achieve greatness.

Fuel Curiosity
A Unicef report found that girls are 1.3 times less likely to be taught the valuable mathematical skills that can set them up for future success, thanks to negative stereotypes and gender norms. We want girls to see how powerful STEM can be in fueling their future and changing their lives.
